Membership Organisation
An organisation wants to remind their members prior to the their annual renewal date and ask if they want a call to enable the renewal.
With just under 50,000 members SMS is the idea answer.
A personalised SMS is automatically sent out every day only to those members with an imminent renewal date. Members are asked to reply ‘YES’ if they want to renew.
A report is sent to the organisation twice per day with details of each member that has replied YES. Their name, membership number and other information is matched to the received mobile number and added to the report.
Youth Health Clinic
Encouraging young people to contact the health clinic to discuss their health concerns is never easy.
SMS allows people to engage at their own pace, at their own time, a step at a time.
Advertising material, outdoor posters and other literature includes the option to text a ‘keyword’ to a certain mobile number.
The person immediately receives an automatic response which includes several more keyword options to be used to better target the enquiry. A further automatic response is sent – this may include a web link to an appropriate mobile site.
The person’s phone number and what they have enquired about is automatically emailed to the appropriate advisor at the clinic for follow-up.
Premium Text subscription service
This company offers an SMS subscription service that sends a series of different motivational texts in a particular order weekly over the course of a year.
After a consumer texts-in a ‘keyword’ that they have seen advertised they will be sent a series of texts every Friday for 52 weeks. They are charged on their phone account to receive these texts. They can opt-out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
The texts must be received in a certain order after subscribing, as such every Friday any one of 52 different messages will be automatically going out to different subscribers as appropriate.
